HealthEquity is Updating Their Security
Beginning this fall, HealthEquity will require all users to begin using a passkey system to log in to their accounts. This is being done to help ensure the security of their information and prevent hacking and phishing scams.
You can help ensure that this rollout is smooth for your employees who have HealthEquity accounts by:
- Encouraging them to download the HealthEquity Mobile app and/or EZ Receipts App, depending on their benefits.
- Reviewing their contact details to ensure they are up to date and complete, including mobile phone, email, and mailing address.
- Telling employees that a strong login password will be required to start the passkey set up process.
- Sharing the message that this change is coming, and is designed to simplify security while elevating protection.

Medical and Prescription Drug Plan Changes for 2026
MESSA strives to continue developing new plans that meet the needs of our members and the employers we serve. As new plans are implemented, some of our older plans are discontinued. The following medical and prescription drug plans will be discontinued effective December 31, 2025:
- MESSA Choices $0
- MESSA Choices $100-200
- MESSA Choices $200-400
- MESSA ABC Rx
- MESSA Saver Rx
In the event that you have one or more of these plans, we wanted to give you enough time to establish a replacement plan. You can request a replacement plan by submitting a Request for Benefit Implementation (RBI) through the Business Administration Center.

Hinge Health is Here for You
MESSA has partnered with Hinge Health, a digital clinic that provides virtual physical therapy. MESSA members and their dependents 18 and older can rehabilitate and get relief from their home using Hinge Health.
Members can access the free service using the Hinge Health app. The different programs help you reduce everyday joint and muscle aches, recover from an injury and relieve pelvic pain and discomfort. You will receive exercise therapy sessions that you can do in 15 minutes using the Hinge Health app. You’ll also receive one-on-one support from a physical therapist or health coach to help you reach your goals.
