Virtual open enrollment refresher training
Aug. 10 through Nov. 10, MESSA will be conducting virtual open enrollment training webinars to help you get ready for open enrollment season. Our Group Services trainer will review how to setup, monitor, and approve open enrollment changes.

Response may be required: Overage dependent policy change
MESSA is updating our overage dependent guidelines to extend ALL coverage (dental, vision, medical and indemnity) until the end of the year or month a dependent turns 26, depending on your group’s policy. Impaired dependents may continue dental, vision, medical and indemnity coverage past the age of 26. Full-time students may continue dental, vision and medical benefits past the age of 26.
This change will apply to all coverage that would have terminated Dec. 31, 2021. If your group would like to accept MESSA’s new overage dependent guidelines, no response is required.
If your group DOES NOT want to accept MESSA’s new overage dependent guidelines, and you did not reply to our July 7, 2021 email, you must respond by Aug. 30, 2021 to Opt Out for this year’s overage dependent process.
If your group will continue to follow its existing guidelines for extending and terminating coverage for overage dependents, Opt Out by replying to this email (mgroupservices@messa.org) with the following message:
